A Night of Music, Fashion, and Friendship in Soho

Some moments feel like they’ve been waiting to happen. That was exactly the energy surrounding the ANTHOM Soho store opening, where Dylana and I finally brought a long-dreamed collaboration with the incredible New York–based band City of the Sun to life. We’d been talking about a performance together for over a year, weaving through packed schedules and fleeting windows of free time, and somehow the stars aligned for this night.

Music has always been our compass—something more than background noise, more than entertainment. It fuels everything: what we wear, where we wander, how we express ourselves. Singing is second nature, like breathing, and stepping into harmony alongside City of the Sun’s ethereal instrumentals felt like slipping into another world. Their sound is magnetic—soulful, raw, and transportive. Each note carries you away, as if you’ve been dropped into a dreamscape you never want to leave.

The Perfect Stage

ANTHOM was the ideal setting for such an evening. With its soaring white ceilings, sleek copper details, and minimal yet elevated aesthetic, the space itself felt like a stage. More than just a store, it’s a reflection of vision—my best friend’s vision, to be exact—and standing in her world, surrounded by her creativity, filled me with pride. There’s something powerful about watching someone you love bring their dream into reality, and ANTHOM embodies that beautifully. If you find yourself in Soho, you’ll discover it at 25 Mercer Street—a destination for those who crave pieces that feel effortlessly chic and distinct.

Dylana and I both dressed in Yune Ho for the night, our head-to-toe looks striking that balance between strength and softness, modernity and elegance. The clothing became part of the performance, almost like an instrument itself—shaping the way we moved, the way we sang, the way we embodied the music. Fashion, after all, is inseparable from expression, and this night was proof of how seamlessly the two can fuse together.

Flamenco Rock for the Soul

For this set, we wanted to give the audience something intimate yet surprising. We took three of our favorite songs and reimagined them through a flamenco rock lens—a mix of sultry rhythm, grit, and a little fire. Nancy Sinatra’s Bang Bang set the tone with its haunting drama. Crystalised by The XX draped the room in its cool, hypnotic mood. And Phil Phillips’ Sea of Love closed it out with a timeless tenderness that still felt raw and new.

Singing alongside City of the Sun’s dreamy guitar melodies elevated each song into something that lived only in that room, only in that moment. That’s the magic of live performance—it’s fleeting, unique, impossible to replicate, and yet it lingers inside you long after the lights dim.

The Beauty of a Full House

What made the night even more special was the community that showed up. The room was packed wall to wall, buzzing with energy, filled with familiar faces and new friends alike. To share music in such an intimate setting, surrounded by people who genuinely care and connect, is something that can’t be manufactured. It reminded me why these gatherings are so important—music is best when it’s shared.

As much as the night was about fashion and performance, it was equally about gratitude. Gratitude for the band who made the music soar, gratitude for the readers who came out to listen and support, and gratitude for being able to create alongside people I love. These are the memories that linger: the collective heartbeat of a crowded room, the sparkle of copper under soft lighting, the blend of soulful sound with fearless fashion.

Carrying the Music Forward

This year, Dylana and I have been leaning more into music, giving you glimpses of this other side of us, and nights like this only make us hungrier for more. Music is the through-line of our lives—it shapes how we see the world, how we connect with people, and how we tell our story. Performing at ANTHOM wasn’t just a gig. It was a reminder that when fashion, music, and community come together, they create something bigger than the sum of their parts.

So here’s to more nights like these: singing under high ceilings, wrapped in elegance, carried by sound, surrounded by love. If you were there, thank you for being part of it. If you weren’t, I hope this little glimpse lets you feel the spirit of the night—and maybe even inspires you to chase your own version of that harmony.

Because at the end of the day, it isn’t just about the songs we sing or the clothes we wear—it’s about the joy of creating, the beauty of sharing, and the moments that remind us why we fell in love with it all in the first place.
